Plein Air Cornfield
I worked on this landscape a couple weeks ago when there were still more leaves on the trees. This cornfield is about a mile up the road from my house and there is a handy place for me to park and a shady spot to work in the late afternoon. It's also nice and private as I'm always uncomfortable if a car pulls up and asks to see what I'm working on. This was done in pastels on a chocolate colored Mi-Tientes paper. Now, with most of the fall color gone, I'm trying to adjust to the barren feel of the landscape.

Beautiful colours and feeling to this. I know what you mean about wanting to work somewhere that feels private!
