A color sketch of the stirring implements on my kitchen counter, at the ready for any burst of culinary creativity. My family would tell you that my culinary instincts are closer to simplistic than creative. This pastel drawing was done on heavy tracing paper with a sheet of colored paper as the backing. Sometimes I like working on a completely smooth surface.

oh wow!!! I love this Vicki!!! great colours!!!
Wonderful imagery!
Wow, what a great idea to layer the surfaces! Love that crock! This reminds me of the Thanksgiving that my cousin didn't have enough silverware, so my aunt decided to take it ALL away and hand out kitchen utensils to eat with! Luckily I got a wooden spoon-- my brother got a whisk!!
This is absolutely delicious Vicki! I love the softness and hardness of the illustration. Wonderful work.
I love the colours and technique ♥
Thanks so much for your visit :)

Great colors and technique!
beautiful drawing and I love all of the colors
What an interesting concept - the layering of the papers. Those colors are yummy. Beautiful!
Love this spoon one, it's a beauty! My oldest son was helping me pack up the excess kitchen stuff (where does all that tupperware come from?) He went after my two crocks of spoons/spatulas whisks, ect.. and I started yelling "Not the spoons, I'll fight to the death for my spoons!" Boy did he back off. :-D
Love this Vicki, the colours & textures you achieve are very unusual
