Illustration Friday: Clumsy

My husband and I went skating last weekend for the first time this winter. We had to shovel off a thin layer of snow on our neighbor's pond that is situated behind the barn on his dairy farm. The cows watched us as we worked. There's always that initial adjustment to keeping your balance and it's hard not to feel "clumsy". The ice froze clear so that when you looked down you could see all the leaves and sticks that had been floating in the water.

I never was much good on ice - learnt to skate when I was in my 30's with the children and was always so scared I would fall!! I really like your illustration!

I love this art. What a wonderful blog! I have to admit, I am a bit clumsy ALL the time...I don't even have to be on ice! ;) Your work is SO nice. There is a lovely warmth to all of your colors that I find very appealing!
