Yesterday we went to a "pick your own" farm for strawberries. It was a beautiful, clear day and the berries looked like rubies beneath the lush leaves. As we were about to have the berries weighed we estimated that we had about four pounds. We were surprised to learn that we had picked eight. It felt as if we were going to "hoard" what we had picked. If we can't eat them all within the next few days we'll have to make jam. I don't think that will happen.
Not if they look that good, you won't hoard them! Lovely, luscious colour.
ReplyDeleteyou gave them great dimension and shine! my granma used to visit and bring an enormous flat of straws and we would gorge for days :P
