Illustration Friday: Immovable

This sketch is a section of a plein air pastel that I did a couple weeks back of a farmer's field and the "immovable" mountains in the background. I'm not accustomed to working outside and I always feel a little panicky about shifting light. I plan on going back to the same spot Monday morning, if it is sunny, and working on a similar composition.

Illustration Friday: Atmosphere

There's nothing like some ice tea on a hot day to improve the atmosphere and general mood of the afternoon. I just brewed up a pitcher of Constant Comment, a favorite at our house.
