The Sketchbook Project

My sketchbook arrived yesterday with the theme "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" that I had chosen. As part of this project thousands of artist's sketchbooks from around the world will be exhibited in galleries and museums across the county. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Art Library and be available to the public. I may use this postcard of mine for the cover. I have until January 15 to finish my sketchbook.

Illustration Friday: Hobby Horse

This little cowboy is transported to far flung adventures with his hobby horse. My brother and I had this horse when we were children and my own son adored it when he was about three or four. The motion would almost lull my son to sleep. You had to keep a close eye so that he didn't tumble off his horse!
